Laminate countertops provide a low-cost option for any countertop in your home. Almost maintenance free, laminate has long been the mainstay choice for home countertops. Now, with a new generation of colors, finishes and EDGE PROFILES, laminate offers the look of more expensive quartz and granite. We also offer Karran seamless under mount sinks that can be used with laminate countertops.

Care and Maintenance of Your Laminate Countertops

Note: Mitered joints by their very nature are susceptible to water damage if water is left to stand on them. Wipe excess water off immediately to prevent swelling of core material. If swelling of miter joint is detected undertake corrective action immediately before problem becomes irreversible.

Clean only with mild soapy detergent, such as dish soap. Furniture wax can be used to provide a thin protective film while providing an attractive luster.

The following are things that can damage or adversely affect the appearance of your countertops:

Abrasive cleaners - including those advertised as soft.

Acid or Alkaline cleaners - They may etch or corrode the surface of your countertop.

Excessive Heat - Temperatures above 275 degrees Fahrenheit can damage the surface of your countertop. Temperatures above 140 degrees Fahrenheit may cause glue to fail, causing delamination.

Sharp or rough objects can cut or scratch decorative surfaces.

Heavy impacts can cause cracks or gouges.
